POLAROMONAS GLACIALIS
| Class: | Beta Proteobacteria |
| Genus: | Polaromonas |
| Species: | Polaromonas glacialis |
| Description: | Polaromonas glacialis is a Gram-negative, psychrophilic bacterium from the genus Polaromonas, which was isolated with Polaromonas cryoconiti from an alpine glacier.Cells are aerobic, Gram-staining-negative, non-motile and coccoid (measuring 0.6–0.8×0.8–1.0µm and often occurring in chains after 7 days at 20℃ on R2A agar).Colonies on R2A agar are creamy white, slimy, convex and round with entire margins and measure 1.0–1.5 mm in diameter after 14 days at 20℃. Grows well at 1–25℃ but does not grow at 30℃. |
