Class: Beta Proteobacteria
Genus: Pusillimonas
Species: Pusillimonas ginsengisoli
Description: Pusillimonas ginsengisoli, isolated from soil of a ginseng field.Cells are Gram-negative, aerobic, motile, short rods, 0.5–0.8µm long and 0.3–0.6µm in diameter. Colonies are paleyellow and circular with an entire margin after growth onnutrient agar at 30℃ for 5 days. Grows at 15–40℃(optimum 30℃), but not at 4 or 42℃, and at pH 5.5–9.0(optimum pH 7.0). Oxidase- and catalase-positive. Producesacid phosphatase, alkaline phosphatase,a-chymotrypsin,cystine arylamidase, esterase (C4), esterase (C8), leucinearylamidase, naphthol-AS-BI-phosphohydrolase, trypsin andvaline arylamidase.
