Description: Cells are slightly curved, 1μm wide by 2–3μm long and motile by at least one polar flagellum. They form translucent, convex, non-swarming, smooth, rounded colonies with entire margins; colonies are beige in colour and about 3 mm in diameter on TSA after 48 h incubation at 28°C. Strains (except LMG 20537T) form yellow,translucent colonies on TCBS agar.
