DescriptionProstrate to erect, glabrous, upto 45 cm high herbs, branches 4-angled. Leaves: stipules truncate, bristles few; petiolate; lamina narrowed at base, elliptic to elliptic-ovate, surfaces glabrous, apex acute or obtuse, margins entire. Flowers: borne in terminal or paniculate cymes or in the apical leaf axils, 4-merous, pedicelled. Flowers: calyx- lobes deltoid; corolla- white, tube short, lobes triangular, acute. Fruits: capsules 4-angled, turbinate 0.2-0.3 cm long, acute. Flowers and fruits appears during August-December.
