Description | Glabrous, procumbent, perennial herbs. Stem: 30-90 cm long, striate, rooting and bearing rosette leaves at the all nodes and arching between them. Leaves: rosulate, attenuate at base, oblanceolate, runcinate-pinnatifid, 2.2-17.0 cm long, segments 2-6 pairs, surfaces glaucous, apex acute/obtuse, margins denticulate, teeth indurated, white; cauline leaves few on flowering stem, lanceolate, 2.2-8.5 cm long. Flowers: capitula 0.9-1.5 cm long, solitary, borne on small bract covered; stalk 0.1-1.2 cm long, arising from the nodes; invol bracts 3-4-seriate, often purplish, margins white, membranous, 0.3-0.5-1.2 x 0.1-0.2 cm; those of outer series oblong, obtuse; inner ones linear-lanceolate; florets 20 in number; pappus unimorphic, 0.6-1.0 cm long, white, deciduous; corolla yellow, tube 0.4-0.5 cm long, ligules 0.6-1.0 cm long. Fruits: cypsels black, thickly 4-5 ribbed, 0.3-0.4 cm long, glabrous, minutely wrinkled, truncate or narrowed but scarcely beaked at the apex. Flowers and fruits appears during Ocotber - May.
