Description | A pubescent erect much branched herb, 15-60cm high with sub-quadrangular striate branches. Leaves: elliptic-lanceolate, entire or faintly toothed, glabrous and gland dotted. Flowers: white, pink or purplish in elongate racemes with more or less closely set whorls. Fruits: small, nutlets pitted, mucilaginous when wetted.
