Description | Erect, 6-25 cm high annuals. Stem: striate, glabrous but for few scabrouspoints produced by the dried glands. Leaves: variable, those on lower side attenuate at base, oblong or obovate or lyrate, surfaces pubescent, densely gland-dotted, apex subacute, margins entire or with a few irregular, remote, teeth with mucronate lobes, apical leaves bract-like. Flowers: capitula 0.7-1.0 cm across; stalk 0.1-0.2 cm long; involucre 0.9-2.2 cm long ovoid-oblong; bracts densely gland-dotted abaxially, those of outer series linear-lanceolate, 0.4-0.6 cm long, pubescent abaxially, smooth adaxially, margins more or less, fimbriate; inner lanceolate, 0.7 x 0.1 cm, sparsely glandular abaxially, acute; ray-florets few, neuter; disc-florets 0.8 cm long, fertile; pappus 0.2-0.5 cm long, outer smaller, multifid, inner plumose, pale-white; corolla 0.5 cm long, tube 0.25 cm long, dulated upwards, lobes acute; anther 0.2 cm long, apical appendages acute; style 0.5 cm long, bifid, branches subulate. Fruits: cypsels 0.3 cm long, pubescent along ribs. Flowers and fruits appears during September-December.
