Description | Shrubs or small trees. Branchlets dark brown, striate, pubescent when young, subglabrescent. Leaves: leaf blade ovate-oblong, ovate, subrounded, or cordate, 5-20 X 4-10 cm, Petiole 1-2 cm, yellow pilose; veins 5-8 pairs, reticulate veins obscure. Flowers: bracts linear, 0.1-0.3 cm, deciduous; Calyx 0.2 cm, 5-dentate, outside minutely hirsute, inside glabrous; Corolla dusty yellow, 5-lobed, outside puberulent, villous in throat; Stamens equal or longer than style, exserted; anthers black. Fruit black, tuberculate, glabrous. Flowers and fruits appears during late spring to summer.
