Description | Annual herb with parennial base. Stem: usually erect. Leaves: alternate, petiolate, entire above, 3-lobed below, having the smell of camphor. Roots: usually taproots, sometimes fibrous. Flowers: capitula large, on long thickened stalk, heterogamous radiate; ray-florets pistillate, pappus of 2 aristate, with numerous intervening persistent scales, corolla yellow, ligulate; disc-florets hermaphrodite, tubular, slightly contracted above the base, anthers with entire base, styles-branches ending in linear-lanceolate, puberulous appendages. Fruits: cypsels oblong. Flowers and fruits appears during October-March.
