DescriptionSmall annual herb, growing up to 50-100 cm in height. Ribbed and angled branches. Leaves: alternate, stalkless, 3-6 cm long, linear-oblong, sharp tipped, spiny toothed. Flower: pink, occur singly on stalks at the end of branches. The bracts on the green portion of the flower-head, are pointed, needle-like, recurved. Flowers appears during November-December.
