Description | It is a small prostrate annual herb, growing up to only 10-15 cm high. The plant is branched from the base. Branches are full of leaves. Leaves: alternately arranged, stalkless, 3-5 cm long, obovate, and bristle pointed. Flower: heads on erect grooved stalks, tube 1 cm long, tubular and purple. Ovoid covering of bracts appears prominently below the flower head. Fruits: cypsels oblong, smooth. Flowers and fruits appears during September-December. | ||||||||||||||||||
