"Bioinformatics: Sequence Analysis"
21 - 23 September 2012
Bioinformatics has initiated a new revolution in life science research by
providing computational solutions to biological problems. Availability of
huge amount of biological data has tremendously enhanced the speed of
biological research and dramatically reduced the cost of research. The
Inherent traits of an organism are hidden and assembled in the form of a
genome. Analyzing this hidden information is a challenge in front of
researcher. Bioinformatics provides the platform to study various aspects
of biological sequences using information technology.
This workshop focuses on the tools and techniques that are being used to
decipher and analyze biological sequences. The workshop will feature
morning lectures, demonstrations with evening hands-on session in
WHO SHOULD ATTEND?
The participants of the course may be students, research scholars, faculty and industry personnel with background in Life Sciences and/or Information Technology. The workshop is selfcontained and does not assume any special knowledge of the subject.
Besides BISR faculty, eminent guest speakers from renowned Bioinformatics Centres of India will deliver lectures and conduct demonstration on various aspects on Bioinformatics.
