One Week Workshop
"Big Data Analytics for Whole Exome Sequencing"
22 - 28 June 2017
The workshop is aimed at PhD fellows and Postdocs interested in next generation sequencing analysis, more specific to whole exome sequencing.
This workshop focuses on the current trends in EXOME Sequence Analysis with special insights into the Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) data analysis. The session will include the demonstration of various steps of data analysis including description of various sequence file formats followed by quality control and generation of variant calls.
For lab exercise, various open source software will be used. The workshop is self-contained and does not assume any special knowledge of computer programming or Bioinformatics.
WHO SHOULD ATTEND?
The participants of the course may be students, research scholars, faculty and industry personnel with background in Life Sciences and/or Information Technology. The workshop is selfcontained and does not assume any special knowledge of the subject.
Besides BISR faculty, eminent guest speakers from renowned Bioinformatics Centres of India will deliver lectures and conduct demonstration on various aspects on Bioinformatics.

Accommodation will be provided on written request to the convener and the participant will bear the cost

MODE OF PAYMENTS

Only those participants will receive the certificate who completes the course. Mere registration will not make you eligible for claiming certificate.
Attendance in all the sessions of the course is mandatory for claiming certificate.
The registration fee is 100% refundable only if you cancel your registration before last date of registration. Any application received for cancellation after the last date of registration will not be entertained.
